I highly recommend this movie ‘The Kingdom’ as a powerful and thoughtful movie. Intial half hour i was wondering what is going on in the movie, but thats typical me as i tend to get bored quickly if a movie dosen’t have action / masala on the word Go. But as this movie built out it was great to watch it !

The movie is basically on the war on terror and the differences between Western and Islamic cultures. I am the one who knows little of my own country’s history let alone that of another country, the opening sequence provides a brief, informative background history of the Kingdom of Saud and the long U.S. ties to that country’s leadership through oil and politics as well as helping to put the story into context.

Jamie Foxx is impressively watchable as FBI Special Agent in the movie with strong supporting performances from Jennifer Garner and the others punctuated by adrenalin laced action and unique and interesting twists.
